Who can partitipate?

You are eligible if:

  • You are pregnant or a mother a child 6-month-old or younger.
  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You live in Malta.

  • Initial online questionnaire (~ 20-25 min).
  • 3 shorter questionnaires (~ 5-10 min) periodically thereafter.

Are there risks or benefits if I participate?

Participation or non-participation in this study will not entail any risk, harm or benefit. Your participation will not imply financial compensation or additional expenses. At the end of the questionnaire, a list of resources regarding maternity, mental health and COVID-19 will be made available to you.

This questionnaire is part of an international project for the study of impact of COVID-19 in Perinatal Mental Health (RiseupPPD-COVID-19) approved by research ethics committees. The study is coordinated by the Universidad Loyola Andalucia (Spain) and University of Minho (Portugal), and is carried out with the collaboration of perinatal mental health experts from all the participating countries.

All data is collected anonymously and is stored on protected servers to which only authorized persons have access. It can only be used for research purposes, and always only with the approval of research ethics committees.

Access, rectification or deletion of data, as well as other rights detailed in Regulation (EU) 2019/679 of the European Parliament and the Council of April 27 2016 on the protection of persons concerning the processing of personal data, as well as the transfer of said data (GDPR), can be executed through written communication to: secretariageneral@uloyola.es.
